1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton revealed her current relationship status as she continues to celebrate her weight loss success. Her health journey was documented on the reality TV series starting in January 2020. Amy’s desire to be a mother inspired her to lose weight. Amy underwent gastric bypass surgery in 2019 after following a strict diet and exercise regime. Amy is believed to weigh around 230 pounds in 2024. She also started to focus on her mental health and being a good mother to her children after Amy’s shocking divorce with Michael Halterman and her bipolar disorder diagnosis.
Amy recently posted a TikTok with a black-and-white filter.
Amy was sitting inside a moving car while she recorded the clip. Dressed in a Rick and Morty shirt, Amy recorded herself lip-syncing to “Ride” by Ciara. Amy expertly rapped along to Ludacris’ part in the song. While she didn’t speak in the video, she let her caption do the talking when she answered the one question on every 1000-Lb Sisters viewer’s minds. Amy wrote, “#single/as/a/pringle/not/ready/to/mingle,” creatively in her video caption. A curious follower tried asking Amy what happened to her “last guy.”
Amy did not choose to answer the fan. However, someone else informed them that the last man Amy was linked to was just a friend of Amy and Tammy’s. Amy wasn’t lying when she said she was single. It also looks like she’s taken a break from dating for a while. She recently posted a slideshow on TikTok with a mystery man. There was speculation that the man was one of Jenelle Evans’ ex-boyfriends from Teen Mom named Kiefer Delp. However, Amy later revealed the man in the photos was her nephew and her friend who has a boyfriend.
However, Amy seems to have gained more confidence about meeting new people and prospective boyfriends, even though she isn’t ready to “mingle” after losing weight. Amy weighed 406 pounds during 1000-Lb Sisters season 1. She came down to 250 pounds after the procedure. Amy’s goal was to become a mom. She’s welcomed two kids, Gage and Glenn, since then. Amy had gone from wearing a 5XL swimsuit to wearing an XL one. Being overweight also put a restriction on what Amy could and couldn’t wear. She started trying out cute outfits after losing weight.
Amy’s relationship with Tammy has also improved a great deal since the former lost 400+ pounds and Amy reached her weight loss goals. While everything about Amy’s life had improved, she divorced her husband of six years in March 2023. Tammy had hard launched her boyfriend, Tony Rodgers, on TikTok in November 2023, after which she dated a man named Kevin in February 2024. Amy needs to take time to heal and find herself before she starts dating again, which is exactly what the YouTuber is interested in doing.
