The newest Connections are here and the May 17 answers got us our second loss in a row. It’s a sad day at Screen Rant when two days go by without a win. Luckily, our loss is your gain and we’ve got all the inside information you need to score a win. One of the best things to do when playing a game of Connections is to utilize the Shuffle button.
Oftentimes your brain can get stuck on one incorrect match and it’s hard to let that go. Clicking Shuffle helps mix all the words up and break any incorrect connections you might be thinking of just because they’re next to each other. One of the best examples of this was the February 7 game where Connections put together SPONGE, BOB, SQUARE, and PANTS in the top row. This was the best misdirection the game has ever done and absolutely caused players to lose an attempt.
Before we delve into today’s Connections answers, we wanted to provide you with the used categories for the day. Knowing what is expected could make the difference between a win or a loss.
Yellow was one of the categories we did end up scoring after a few misguided attempts at the start of the game. VILE and DIRTY were the initial words we noticed and we tried making SKULL fit in for some reason. There was really no exact answer as to why we lost today’s game, it was just a fail.
We moved on to the last three categories with only one attempt left and we did end up scoring the green once we slowed down. TEXT and PING were the first two words we noticed for this category and it was an easy jump to see the other two. We were still nervous about hitting Submit though. Luckily, it was correct and we just needed one more category.
TABLECLOTH, PITCHER, GARDEN, and FRUIT are what lost us the game. We assumed there was some sort of picnic theme to the whole thing and it was our final guess. Sometimes that’s the way it goes though. We weren’t decimated by today’s Connections, but it certainly didn’t feel good to lose.
Does anyone remember that Road Trip movie that was focused on Beer PONG? Was DJ Qualls in that one? What is DJ Qualls up to nowadays? I hope he’s happy, he always seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He was so good in Supernatural. We have a ‘Where Are They Now’ on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but not DJ Qualls. What even is this website?
