Rivers: Support Fubara, power comes from God – Gov Otti to indigenes

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has urged the people of Rivers State to continue supporting their governor, Sim Fubara.

Otti noted that power comes from God, hence no man can arrogate to himself the capacity to give power.

He spoke during the commissioning of the Aleto-Ogale-Ebubu-Eteo 10.98km road in Eleme Local Government area of Rivers State.

Otti described the road construction by Fubara’s administration as a “dress rehearsal” of the dividends to be achieved in the state.

According to Otti: “I am deeply enamoured and honoured by the recognition from my esteemed colleague to commission this road project. Governor Fubara’s leadership in embarking on this vital infrastructure project is commendable. His dedication to the welfare of the Eleme people and the development of Rivers State is exemplary. The road serves as a bypass to the East-West Road, easing the journey for many commuters who ply this route.

“Leadership is about service, and true service is to the majority. Our principle over the years has been rooted in this, and it is a journey that has brought us to where we are today.

“To the people of Rivers State, what you witnessed today is just the beginning. This is a “dress rehearsal” of democracy’s dividends that will pave the way for even greater achievements. I urge you all to continue supporting Governor Fubara as he strives to serve you with unwavering dedication.

“Power belongs to God, no human can arrogate to himself the capacity to give power, except you have the capacity to give life. Of course, you can take life, but you cannot give it.”
