The Argentina international also shared his thoughts on Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid.
Aguero believes Barcelona has a bright future under Xavi, describing Yamal as one of the best young players in the world.
Xavi’s future at Barcelona is uncertain, with reports suggesting he could be dismissed due to his comments on the club’s financial issues. Despite this, Xavi remains committed to his role, a stance Aguero supports.
“Xavi’s DNA is 100% Barca,” Aguero told Stake.com. “He won La Liga in his first season and has laid a strong foundation with talented young players like Yamal, Cubarsi, Balde, Lopez, Gavi, and Pedri.”
Aguero highlighted Yamal, still a school-age player, as a standout talent. “Yamal is one of the highest valued young players. He’s performed amazingly in the Champions League at just 16 and will continue to grow in importance for Barca,” he said.
Looking ahead, Aguero expects these young players to challenge Real Madrid’s dominance, which could be further strengthened by Mbappe’s expected arrival.
“Mbappe leaving PSG points to him joining Real Madrid. He’ll be a major addition,” Aguero said. “Great players can adapt to different roles, and I’m sure his manager will find the best fit for him.”
Real Madrid have already secured the La Liga title and will face Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final next week.
