In a resounding endorsement, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has praised President Bola Tinubu for instilling hope in the hearts of Nigerians since assuming office approximately a year ago.
Wike’s remarks came during a ministerial sectoral update, where he also outlined the notable achievements of his ministry over the past year.
The Minister outlined several achievements, including the establishment of the FCT service commission, the incorporation of the women’s secretariat with a dedicated Secretary, and the disengagement of the FCTA from the Treasury Single Account to facilitate access to internally generated revenue for project implementation.
Additionally, there have been enhancements in security through the provision of security vehicles, road construction, rehabilitation of the Abuja light rail project, refurbishment of schools across the FCT, and improvements in critical infrastructure.
Furthermore, Mr. Wike disclosed plans to commission 120 kilometers of roads across six area councils and other projects slated for inauguration starting on May 27th.
