Kano state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has ordered the Emirs who were ousted by the Kano State Emirate Council Law 2024 passed by the state House of Assembly on Thursday, May 23, to vacate their palaces within the next 48 hours.
Yusuf, thereafter, restored Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi to the position of Emir of Kano.
Those affected by the directive are five emirs who were installed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration.
The former governor had split the Kano Emirate by creating an additional four emirates.
The created Emirates were Karaye, Gaya, Bichi and Rano.
However, Yusuf on Thursday, May 23, dethroned Alh. Aminu Ado Bayero and four other first-class emirs in the state.
