Gov Inuwa swears in new commissioner, 22 special advisers in Gombe

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has sworn in a new commissioner and 22 special advisers.

At the swearing-in ceremony held on Thursday at the Banquet Hall in Gombe, Governor Yahaya stated that those appointments were a call to service and not an invitation to political luxury and profligacy.

He urged the new appointees to help navigate the state through its challenges with dedication and integrity.

โ€œThe individuals taking the oath of office today have been carefully selected for their unwavering loyalty, proven commitment, and relentless hard work.

โ€œMany of them served with distinction during my first term and are now entrusted with new mandates to serve Gombe State,โ€ he stated.

Reflecting on his administrationโ€™s achievements since 2019, Governor Yahaya pointed out the strong foundation of hard work, resilience, and commitment to the peopleโ€™s well-being, noting that the administrationโ€™s various people-oriented policies and programs had propelled the state towards greater heights, earning domestic and international commendation.

โ€œOur achievements in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and rural development have turned Gombe into a model worthy of emulation by other states.

โ€œWe have also implemented public service reforms to enhance efficiency, transparency, and service delivery.

โ€œAs senior public officials, I trust you will lead by example, fostering a culture of integrity and excellence in all your endeavors.โ€ Yahaya added.

He urged the newly appointed officials to embrace the administrationโ€™s reforms and policies wholeheartedly to ensure their successful implementation.
