Yoro showed all the qualities of a top class center-back during the campaign, displaying intelligence on the ball, an impressive ability to read the game, good passing range and great pace.

3. Benjamin Andre
The former Rennes captain who joined Les Dogues in 2019 was one of the most important players in Fonseca’s setup this season, featuring heavily this campaign and rewarding his manager’s trust with solid performances.
The Frenchman was a stalwart in midfield throughout the season, protecting the back line by disrupting opposition attack and contributing in attack with goals.
Andre scored four goals in 30 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Dogues this season.
2. Edon Zhegrova
The 24-year-old attacker is another player who has flourished under the tutelage of Fonseca, enjoying an impressive 2023/2024 campaign with Lille.
The Kosovo international played a significant role in Les Dogues’ season as they battled Stade Brestois 29 for the last automatic Champions League spot.
Zhegrova was a reliable source of goals and assists for the team, netting six goals and creating another six across 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Lille this campaign.
1. Jonathan David
Lille’s number nine endured a slow start to the 2023/2024 campaign but the Canadian International soon rediscovered his form and re-established his reputation as one of the French league’s most prolific strikers.
David was Fonseca’s most lethal weapon in attack this campaign, amassing an impressive goal tally surpassed only by PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and displaying the creative side of his game as well.
The 24-year-old center-forward notched 19 goals and provided 4 assists across 34 Ligue 1 appearances for Les Dogues this campaign.
