Tension As Landlord Slumps And Dies After Tenant Threatened To Kill Him

The Ogun State Police Command has launched an investigation into the death of a landlord named Apeh Benjamin,

This followed a heated argument with his tenant, Emmanuel, in Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State.

The dispute arose over Emmanuelโ€™s unpaid rent, during which he allegedly threatened to kill the landlord. According to the state commandโ€™s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, the incident occurred at about 6:30 am on Sunday when the landlord suddenly slumped and died.

Odutola confirmed, โ€œOne Apeh Benjamin of Aribabu village, Sotubo, Ogun State, a landlord, slumped and died at about 0630hrs on the 2nd of June, after a heated argument with Emmanuel, his tenant, who threatened to kill him over unpaid rent.โ€

She assured that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death, adding, โ€œInvestigation is on.โ€
