‘Even Biden, Obama Fell – Tinubu’s Aide Justifies President’s Fall At Eagle Square

An aide to President Bola Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, who acts as Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the president has justified the dramatic fall of the president at Eagle Square on Wednesday.

Onanuga said the president, not being a Superman but a human, could also fall.

He stated in a message he shared on social media concerning the dramatic fall of the president while attempting to review a parade during the Democracy Day celebration at Eagle Square.

Tinubu had climbed the waiting truck and was moving towards the front when he tripped and fell, landing frontally inside the vehicle.

Aides rushed and lifted him to his feet, allowing the president to sit for a while before being driven round the square.

It however left the president visibly shaken which is likely to draw attention to pre-election campaign controversy that he was not healthy to be president.

It would also strengthen insinuations by critics and opposition that attack the president for always going on medical tourism to France for undisclosed ailments that he’s indeed not fit to govern.

The fall left those at the square in shock with reports emerging that the president allegedly sustained some bruises to his left shoulder and upper part of the left ear.

But Onanuga said it’s nothing new insisting that what has now been called presidential fall happens to both young and old.

Tinubu claims he’s officially 72 years of age.

Onanuga said, “President Tinubu is not a Superman. He is human like all of us.

“President Biden (Joe, US President) has had several slips in the last three years.

“Even the younger Barack Obama (ex-US President) slipped while President,” he said.

He stressed that, “Political leaders are human.

“Slipping should not detract from the import of Democracy Day celebration,” the president’s aide said.
