Popular Nigerian Afrobeats singer Ayodeji Balogun, fondly called Wizkid, has sparked controversy with a recent cryptic post ahead of his colleague, Davido’s wedding to fiancée, Chioma Rowland.
Recall that Davido confirmed a few days ago that their wedding would take place on the 25th of June in Lagos, despite recent allegations of infidelity against him.
On Sunday evening, the singer posted his pre-wedding pictures with Chioma on social media.
Shortly after Davido’s photos were released, his colleague Wizkid caused a stir with a tweet saying “Lol” which amused many.
Wizkid once more stirred controversy on Monday morning with a post that some fans interpreted as a jab at his rival, Davido.
On his verified handle, Wizkid wrote: “Saying a prayer for every understanding woman on earth! Your king loves you.”
His post sparked varied responses, with some suggesting it subtly criticized Chioma, Davido’s soon-to-be wife, known for her enduring support despite cheating rumours.
Remember that Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, disclosed in a recent statement that she and the singer revived their relationship from 2020 to 2022, coinciding with Davido’s courtship with Chioma during the same period.
