Juventus, Bayern Munich show interest in Ademola Lookman

ADEMOLA Lookman could be on his way out of Atalanta to one of Europe’s giants after a stellar season with the Italian club.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria forward starred for Atalanta in the UEFA Europa League, netting a historic hat-trick in the final as they battered previously unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in Dublin in May to lift their first-ever European trophy.

According to Daily Mail today, several clubs across Europe are plotting a move for the 26-year-old Nigeria international, with Juventus and Bayern Munich among his admirers.

Apart from his Europa League final heroics, overall Lookman has become a key component of Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta, making 78 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions and contributing 32 goals and 18 assists.

Lookman, who was born in England, has also scored six goals in 23 matches for the Super Eagles, including three in the Africa Cup of Nations in January and February, when they reached the final and lost to hosts Cote d’Iviore.

The Daily Mail reported that the former Leicester City, Fulham and Everton star is ‘attracting admiring glances from a number of sides – with Juventus among the teams monitoring his situation’.

Bayern Munich are also believed have watched Lookman closely, while a number of Premier League teams retain an interest in the Nigeriai international.

Although Lookman is thought to be happy in Italy, he is keeping his options open heading into pre-season.

Lookman is under contract with Atalanta until June 2026 after joining the Italian side two years ago from RB Leipzig for around €10m.
