Well-known Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, is mourning his mother, Mrs Jane Morayo Balogun, on her posthumous birthday.
Recall that Mrs. Balogun passed away on the 18th of August, 2023, in London.
On the 4th of July, 2024, Wizkid reflected on his mother’s absence, expressing that his life feels empty without her.
The father of four emphasized how much he misses her daily and noted that his heart is forever broken.
Via his X account, he wrote “Happy birthday, love of my life! I miss you every day. The first one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you, mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever! Love you, love love you, MORAYO mi. Your smile is a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!”
Additionally, Wizkid recently announced that he will pay tribute to his mother in a new album titled ‘Morayo.’
He has not yet disclosed the release date of the highly anticipated album.
