Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has reportedly rejected a 1.5 million Euro yearly salary offer to join Sevilla FC, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian defensive midfielder, after spending seven years at the King Power Stadium, is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City last month.
Reports from Spanish media outlet Todofichajes suggest that Sevilla has offered a โฌ1.5 million yearly deal to lure the Nigerian star from England to Ramรณn Sรกnchez-Pizjuรกn Stadium.
According to reports, this deal has been immediately rejected by the Super Eagles midfielder, who demands โฌ4 million (approximately โฆ6 billion) to sign for any club.
Over time, Ndidi has been linked with several clubs vying for his signature, including Barcelona, Sevilla, Galatasaray, and Trabzonspor, all looking to bolster their squads against the upcoming season campaign.
Sevilla remains active in the transfer market, particularly in their pursuit of bolstering the midfield. While negotiations with Saรบl from Atlรฉtico de Madrid are nearing completion, Sevilla will now focus on securing the services of the Super Eagles star, with efforts aimed at negotiating a more favorable deal for the club.
However, if they cannot meet Ndidiโs financial demands, Sevilla will explore alternative, economically viable options to strengthen their squad under Garcรญa Pimentaโs guidance.
