The Kano State House of Assembly has passed a bill into law for the creation of second class Emirates in the state.
The house gave expeditious hearing to the bill on Tuesday when it resumed plenary.
It scaled through second and third reading after initiation promoting the deputy speaker, Mr Muhammad Bello Butubutu, to move for adoption and passage.
The Speaker of the House, Mr Jibril Ismail Falgore, who presided over the plenary hailed the bill.
The new second-class emirates to be created include:
- Rano Emirate: Rano- Bunkure, Kibiya
- Karaye Emirate: Karaye- Rogo
- Gaya Emirate: Gaya- Ajingi, Albasu
