VICTOR Osimhen’s proposed move to Paris Saint-Germain may be off following the stalling of negotiations for the Napoli striker.
The Super Eagles star’s agent Roberto Calenda and Napoli officials had been in Paris for transfer talks but the deal could be off.
According to European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and othe reports from Italy, the talks between PSG and Napoli broke down as both sides failed to reach an agreement.
PSG are believed to have refused to include Kang-in Lee in the deal, against the wishes of Napoli.
The French champions also made it clear that they would not trigger the release clause in Osimhen’s latest contract.
Luis Enrique’s side are also thought to be ready to go into the new campaign with their two senior strikers Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani, even with Kylian Mbappe off to Real Madrid.
Nigeria international Osimhen signed a new Napoli contract last year, which included a release clause believed to be around €130m, with the understanding that he would be allowed to leave this summer.
However, there has been no club willing to cough up the hefty release clause, with first Chelsea and now PSG reportedly offering player plus cash deals.
Osimhen, 25, joined Napoli from Lille in September 2020 for around €80m and was the top scorer in Serie A in 2022/2023 as they won their first Scudetto in 33 years.
