A CENTRE referee and assistant referees from Korea and Australia will be in charge of the Super Falcons of Nigeria’s opening match against Brazil at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The three-time African champions will face the global giants in Bordeaux tomorrow in their first women’s football event Group C clash before taking on world champions Spain and 2011 World Cup winners Japan.
Yujeong Kim will lead the refereeing team for the clash at Stade de Bordeaux, assisted by fellow Korean Misuk Park and Australian Joanna Charaktis.
Jelena Cvetkovic from Serbia is the fourth official, with another Australian, Kate Jacewicz, serving as the Video Assistant Referee. The only man in the officiating team, Croatian Ivan Bebek, is the assistant VAR.

The global football governing body says its Referees Committee has appointed 89 match officials (21 referees, 42 assistant referees, 20 video match officials and six support referees) from 45 countries to officiate matches at the Olympic Football Tournaments Paris 2024.
