YOWICAN declares three days fasting over lack of rainfall in Taraba

The youth wing of the Taraba State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has declared three days of prayers and fasting for the state.

The move was necessitated by the persistent lack of rainfall in the state.

At the time of filing this report, farm crops, as observed by DAILY POST, have begun to wither.

Piqued by the development, the leadership of the youth CAN, in a press statement made available to journalists in the early hours of Sunday, urged all Christian youths spread across the state to participate in the spiritual exercise slated to commence tomorrow, Monday.

Signed by its state chairman, Evang Ephesian Jesse, the group said the exercise became necessary in order to right the wrongs that must have been committed by the people.

โ€œLet us come out and pray for the release of rainfall. It is no longer news that our crops are already drying up due to lack of rainfall. Letโ€™s cry unto God for divine intervention

โ€œLet us pray for churches that are currently having challenges, let us pray for divine intervention knowing fully that nothing is impossible with God.

โ€œLet us also pray for governor Agbu Kefas and his family, that the Lord will guide over their steps, protect them and grant them good health as they discharge their duties to the glory of the Lord,โ€ the statement read.
