As the new European football season kicks off, several Nigerian Super Eagles players have already begun to make their mark across various leagues.
Wilfred Ndidi was a standout performer for Leicester City as they drew 1-1 at home against Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League opener. The newly promoted Leicester side showed resilience, Ndidi with a beautiful clearance in front of the goal post stopping balls from entering the net, as he played a crucial role in midfield to secure the valuable point.
Meanwhile, Kevin Bassey and Alex Iwobi were in action for Fulham in their tough 1-0 defeat to Manchester United. Despite the loss, both players put in commendable performances, with Iwobi especially showing his creativity in attack.
In Spain, Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidera Ejuke did not feature for their new club Sevilla as they played out a 2-2 draw away to Las Palmas in La Liga. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how the duo will integrate into their new team as the season progresses.
