Gifted Markson
Chelsea and Napoli have been unable to reach an agreement for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The two clubs recently held a meeting to discuss Lukakuโs move, but talks ended without a deal.
Lukaku, who was on loan at Inter Milan last season, has been linked with several clubs this summer. Napoli showed interest in signing the Belgian striker to boost their attack for the new season.
However, it seems the negotiations hit a roadblock, with both clubs unable to agree on the financial terms of the transfer. Chelsea is open to selling Lukaku, but only at the right price. Napoli, known for being careful with their spending, may have found Chelseaโs asking price too high.
With the transfer window closing soon, itโs uncertain what will happen next.
Chelsea, under new manager Enzo Maresca, might have to look for other solutions if a deal isnโt reached.
Meanwhile, Lukakuโs future remains up in the air as the new season approaches.
