REMO Stars have arrived in Rabat, Morocco for the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie with AS FAR.
The Nigeria Premier Football League runners-up won the first leg 2-1 in Ikenne last weekend and will progress to the next round if they avoid defeat in Morocco on Sunday night.
They landed in Rabat today after flying from Lagos on a Royal Air Maroc plane, all the players decked in identical colourful adire prints.
It is an uphill battle for Remo Stars as the Moroccans are ruthless on home soil and will not see one goal as a big deficit they cannot overcome.
In the past, AS FAR have seen off big Nigerian clubs in continental competitions, including Stationery Stores, Wikki Tourists and Dolphins.
While Remo Stars are relatively new to continental football, AS FAR are accomplished African campaigners with some success.
The Moroccan side have won the CAF Champions League once in 1985 (then Champions Cup) and reached the semi-finals in 1988.
They have also won the CAF Confederation Cup once, in 2005, and were losing finalists the following year.
