The Department of State Service (DSS) has finally yielded to the ultimatum of the Labour to release the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero who confirmed his release around 12am on Tuesday, said he was let go before midnight Monday.
The NLC President who has suffered different arrests and invitations by various security agencies in recent times however, said the DSS operatives seized his international passport.
Ajaero was on his way to London on Monday morning when he arrested at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
Shortly after, the Labour organs including the Nigerian Electricity Workers Union met and issued ultimatum over his release.
The ultimatum issued in a communique after its emergency meeting had 12 midnight deadline, Blueprint had reported.
