Nigeria, China Finalize $3.3bn Agreement For Brass Industrial Park

As Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu concludes his visit to China, the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have confirmed that Nigeria and China have entered into a $3.3bn agreement.

The agreement is with
the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) to develop the Brass Industrial Park, Gas Gathering Pipelines & Associated Facilities and Methanol Complex in Bayelsa State.

According to the statement, the mutual deal was signed on the sidelines of African China 2024 Forum Conference (FOCAC) in Beijing, the capital of China.

The project is anticipated to greatly enhance Nigeria’s industrial production and create essential job opportunities, while also strengthening the Nigeria-China partnership.

Along with infrastructure, the discussions also focused on financial and security collaboration, which are vital for sustaining economic partnerships.

Both nations committed to improving intelligence sharing to tackle financial crimes and create a safe, transparent financial system.

President Tinubu had described his visit as “very successful” while addressing Nigerians living in china on Friday.
