FAAN Exploring Partnerships Models To Improve Airport Facilities- MD

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said that it is ready for business with investors and it is exploring various partnership models to improve facilities at Nigerian airports.

The Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Oluwaseun Kuku said this in a post shared on X which was seen by NewsNGR.

She said โ€œFAAN is ready for business and this government is ready for business. The investments we need to improve the facilities and infrastructure in the aviation sector can not only come from the federal government.โ€

She said the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo and the FAAN are doing a lot to open up Nigeriaโ€™s aviation industry.

According to her, the efforts made by the government will benefit airlines and the entire industry players.

Kuku said, โ€œThe minister in the last few weeks has been engaging both the private sector as well as other government institutions globally to make sure that we can better collaborate especially when it comes to new technological development and when it comes to increasing our route.

โ€œThere is some work round route development even as far as going to some trips specifically, how the airlines can see additional leasing opportunities and aircraft.โ€

The MD explained that FAAN is making improvements to airport facilities.

โ€œWe have major plans in terms of the infrastructural developments that is required. In terms of bringing in additional private sector participation and we are exploring various partnership models that will allow us move forward,โ€ she added.
