EFCC Launches Investigation Following Bobrisky’s N15m Extortion Claims

In a dramatic turn of events, Okuneye Idris Olarenwaju, widely known as Bobrisky, has leveled serious allegations against unnamed officers of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming they extorted N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges.

This explosive revelation surfaced in a video shared by social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan.

Following the video’s release, the EFCC’s leadership swiftly responded by forming a dedicated investigative team to scrutinize the claims. In an official statement, the Commission has called upon both Okuneye and Otse to present themselves at its Lagos Directorate, emphasizing the need for their cooperation to ensure a thorough investigation into the alleged bribery.

The EFCC reassured the public of its commitment to transparency, stating, “We will handle this probe with the utmost integrity, and our findings will be made public once the investigation is concluded.”

The Commission reiterated its dedication to upholding its core values of integrity, courage, professionalism, and collaboration throughout the process.

This investigation comes on the heels of Bobrisky’s recent release from prison, where he served a six-month sentence for the mutilation of Nigeria’s currency.

As the story unfolds, the public eagerly awaits the outcome of the EFCC’s inquiry into these serious allegations.
