Your certificates or no October salary – Fintiri directs Adamawa workers to present credentials

Workers in the employment of the Adamawa State Government have been issued a deadline to present their certificates for verification.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri gave the directive requiring all workers in government institutions, ministries, boards, and agencies to immediately present their certificates.

According to a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the planned verification aims to prevent unqualified individuals from occupying positions so that the younger generation will not be denied opportunities.

“This exercise is not intended to witch-hunt anyone but rather to ensure sanity in the system,” the governor said, warning that failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of October salaries until the certificates are submitted.

The governor assured that no one will be denied their salary if they present their certificates before the end of October, stressing that the exercise is necessary to check system failures traceable to people who are not qualified for the positions they hold.

“These issues must be addressed. The service should be a haven for scholarship and honesty, rather than a haven for misfits,” he said.
