We’re Outraged That Spain Became Paradise To Sow Hatred And Incite To The Destruction Of Israel—IFM

Israel’s Foreign Ministry has expressed strong condemnation over an event in Madrid, Spain, that it claims glorifies terrorism and incites hatred against the state of Israel. The statement, shared on their verified Twitter account, highlights outrage at Spain’s hosting of the annual international congress organized by Masar Badil, an organization with alleged ties to terrorist groups such as the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Samidoun.

The congress and an associated demonstration were set to take place on the same day, reportedly celebrating the brutal massacre that occurred on October 7.

The Ministry criticized Spain for allowing such an event to take place, asserting that it provides a platform for the glorification of terrorism and the celebration of crimes against humanity. “It is unacceptable that a democratic society allows the glorification of terrorism,” the statement read. Israel’s concern stems from what it sees as the rise of pro-terrorist rhetoric in European countries, which may further endanger Israeli lives and stability in the Middle East.

The October 7 massacre, referenced in the statement, involved a violent and deadly attack, which Israel has consistently condemned as a terrorist act perpetrated by Hamas, a group widely designated as a terrorist organization by Israel, the U.S., and the EU.

The Israeli government has called on Spain and other democracies to prevent the promotion of violence and terrorism, urging them to reject events that could incite hatred or glorify acts of violence against civilians.
