Christ Embassy Church is set to rebuild its Loveworld Convocation Arena (LCA), located in the Oregun area of Ikeja, Lagos State.
The development is coming nearly four months after fire guts the LCA, razing the multi-million dollar structure and destroying its properties.
NewsNGR reported the reaction of the General Overseer, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome when the incident occurred on June 23.
โWe will build a beautiful one, let the devil lick his wounds,โ he said.
However, giving an update on the building during a monthly televised communion service on Sunday, Pastor Oyakhilome said the building is going to be the best as a better facility would be erected in record time.
โThis is going to be the best and we will do it in record time and the devil is going to cry,โ he said to his elated members.
The pastor further pledged to give more details on the progress of the building by the next communion service in November.
Recall that the Secretary General of the church, Kay Adesina, described the depth of the damage after visiting the scene.
Adesina said: โItโs really, really messed up. We were not able to enter, but we could see from outside. I took some of the pictures.
โThe whole of the interior was coated in fire and everywhere inside actually collapsed, including the offices.
โThe fire services that were there, they saw that they couldnโt go in. So they tried to put out the fire from outside. But all, including the external wall, you see, all the walls are compromised.
โBut the only reason why the whole structure is not compromised is because they are steel structures. Otherwise, you would think that the whole building would collapse.โ
