Big Brother Naija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae, has disclosed that he gave his wife, Kassia, N55 million from his prize money.
It’s worth recalling that Kellyrae walked away with a total cash prize of N60 million, along with a brand-new car valued at N40 million, following his victory on the 6th of October, 2024.
Kellyrae and Kassia initially entered the house as a duo under the moniker “DoubleKay.” However, Biggie later dissolved the pairs, turning the competition into an individual contest.
After the split, their management team decided to prioritize Kellyrae’s progress over Kassia’s, encouraging fans to back him on his journey to the grand prize.
The decision was announced after Kellyrae expressed his desire to win the show’s N100 million prize, even if it meant competing against his wife.
During an Instagram Live session with Kassia on the 8th of October, 2024, Kellyrae confirmed that he has already handed over N55 million of his N60 million prize money to her.
“The (prize) money is N60 million, I’ve sent Kassia N55 million already to take care of herself,” he said.
Nevertheless, his wife, Kassia, dismissed his assertions, questioning, “To which account (did you send the money)? Why are you lying? You’re lying to your fans after they voted for you.”
Kellyrae hinted, “It’s bad network. They (my fans) will not drag me.”
