In a heartbreaking turn of events, tragedy struck Akoko Anglican Grammar School in Ondo State as Senior Secondary School student Habib Salau lost his life in a violent altercation outside the school premises.
The incident, involving a female student identified as Sandra, escalated after school hours, resulting in fatal consequences.
Eyewitnesses revealed that Sandra admitted to using a knife provided by a student from Ajiroke Technical School during the altercation, according to reports from The Nation.
The confrontation quickly turned deadly, leading to Habib Salau’s untimely demise. His body has since been transferred to the Specialist Hospital mortuary in Ikare.
Ondo State Police Commissioner Abayomi Oladipo confirmed that the case has been swiftly transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation.
“A diligent investigation would be conducted to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident,” Commissioner Oladipo assured.
