Nigerian music sensation Ayra Starr has achieved a major milestone on Spotify, amassing over 2 billion streams across all her credits, according to streaming data platform Kworb.
This feat comes shortly after the release of her sophomore album, The Year I Turned 21, which alone has garnered over 500 million streams on the platform since its debut.
With this accomplishment, Ayra Starr joins the ranks of Nigerian music heavyweights such as Burna Boy, Rema, Tems, Wizkid, CKay, and Davido, who have all crossed the 2 billion stream mark on Spotify.
The news was announced just hours after the songstress secured four nominations at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs).
