THE PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, has addressed his suspension, asserting that he and his faction are “fighting a just cause for the survival of the party.”

His statement comes in response to the PDP’s NWC, which cited allegations of disloyalty and insubordination as the reason for his suspension.

A press release signed by the PDP National Director of Publicity, Chinwe Nnorom, indicated that the suspended officials would face a disciplinary committee led by the PDP’s Deputy National Chairman (South), Taofeek Arapaja.

Ologunagba revealed that the NWC is divided, with some members aligning with him, while others support the acting National Chairman, Illiya Damagum.

He further argued that his suspension is baseless since he had not been formally confronted with any accusations nor attended any meeting where such allegations were discussed.

Additionally, he denied being present at the meeting where the decision to suspend him was made.

Ologunagba refrained from naming the NWC members on his side but emphasized that his group is striving to protect the party’s future.

He accused the acting National Chairman and his supporters of damaging the party’s interests.
