Ahead of the 2027 general elections, former presidential aspirant, Dele Momodu, says only God and destiny will determine Atiku Abubakar’s future political career.
77-year-old Atiku has run unsuccessfully for President of Nigeria six times, in 1993, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and 2023. He ran in the Social Democratic Party presidential primaries in 1993 but lost to Moshood Abiola and Baba Gana Kingibe.
There are also fears that the former vice president is seeking to contest again in 2027 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) amid concerns over the health and physical fitness of the former vice president.
