Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has honored the memory of his late father.
The iconic Afrobeat musician and political activist, Fela, passed away in 1997, but his impact remains deeply felt.
Seun Kuti, reflecting on his father’s legacy, shared that Fela’s influence is woven into every part of his own musical journey, shaping his artistry to this day.
“Every year since you passed to the great beyond, your impact on our lives has continued to grow.
“Every note, phrase, dance, song and album is to show my love for you. I miss you and I play my sax for you. Dad, I live for your legacy and I’m loyal to the mission. Love you big man more than words can express,” he said.
