Senator Musa commends Tinubu for ordering release of minors arraigned in court

The senator representing Niger East senatorial district, Sani Musa, has commended President Bola Tinubu for ordering the release of #EndBadGovernance protesters who are minors after they had spent three months in detention.

Musa, who is the chairman of Senate Committee on Finance, said the immediate release of the minors from detention after they have been arraigned with the condition that the law remains respected showed Tinubuโ€™s leadership commitment and accountability.

Reacting in a statement he issued in Abuja on Monday, the lawmaker said: โ€œI convey my gratitude for President Bola Tinubuโ€™s intervention, appreciation for his leadership, and a firm stance on the need for accountability within law enforcement.โ€

DAILY POST reported that the protesters of #EndBadGovernance who are minors were arraigned before the Justice Obiora Egwuatu-led Federal High Court on Friday.

The minors who look malnourished with sick looks triggered reactions across the country with condemnation and concerns.

On Monday, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced that President Bola Tinubu has directed the release of the detained minors and also ordered their reunion with their families.
