Group Lauds Sultanate For Honouring Former NNPCL CFO Umar Ajiya Isa

Isa Youth Global Initiative has commended the Sultanate Council on its recent appointment of Umaru Isa Ajiya as Ajiyan Sokoto.

Umaru Ajiya was last week conferred the prestigious title by the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saโ€™ad Abubakar along fourteen others.

The Chairman of the initiative, Ummaru Saidu Isa said the group expressed its gratitude to the Sultanate Council, noting that Ajiya has been a driving force behind various initiatives that have positively impacted Isa Local Government Area of the state.

The initiatives, he said include the annual scholarship award for the indigenes of Isa, providing financial support to indigenes of Isa Local Government Area to pursue higher education, donation of essential teaching and learning materials to schools within the council and socio-Economic support for vulnerable women.

He further described Ajiya as a distinguished individual with a remarkable career in Sokoto and beyond.

Also speaking, the Secretary of the group, Abdulrahman Umar Mai Salati said the selection of Isa as Ajiyan Sokoto is not an oversight.

He further described Umaru Ajiya as an individual who has invested in the development of Isa Local Government Area of the State.

โ€œAjiyan Sokoto has made a laudable impact that cannot be underestimated in our communities, he has been a catalyst for Positive development in the state,โ€he said.

The new chieftaincy holder, Umaru Ajiya was the Chief Financial Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC until Wednesday.

โ€œHe was given an award of excellence by the IYGOLINK earlier this year as a sign of recognition for his experience and expertise.

โ€œHis commitment to community development and social responsibility is evident in his numerous philanthropic endeavours.

โ€œThe title of Ajiyan Sokoto is a testament to Isaโ€™s character and dedication to the community.โ€

The group prayed that as he assumes this new role, he will continue to inspire and make a positive impact on the lives of those in Isa Local Government and beyond.
