Nigerian rapper Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, better known as Phyno, has opened up about his thoughts on celebrities navigating marriage alongside their demanding careers.
The singer and songwriter described music as a โjealous and taskingโ profession, highlighting the immense challenge of balancing it with marriage or any other pursuit. According to him, the careers of many celebrities tend to falter once they tie the knot.
Speaking during a recent episode of the In My Opinion podcast, Phyno shared his perspective, saying:โCheck everybody, statistically, I feel so(most celebritiesโ careers crash when they get married).
โMusic basically is a jealous career. Thatโs why people drop out of school to face music. The ones that had to juggle the two, you have to give them kudos because itโs not easy.
Sometimes, some people get to a certain fame level and rush back to school and come back to continue from where they stopped because you have to actually face one.
Music is tasking; it takes all your time.
โAnother thing about music is that it is what you pass through that you put into it life experiences except if you use songwriters. But if you write your songs, you canโt be talking about happiness when youโve got a girlfriend thatโs stressing you.โ
Phynoโs reflective take sheds light on the sacrifices and complexities tied to pursuing a career in music while maintaining a personal life.
