Okpebholo: Edo State Assembly Clears Oshiomhole For Health Commissioner

Edo State House of Assembly on resumption of plenary Monday, cleared Oshiomhole, Governor Monday Okpebholo’s nominee for the position of Health Commissioner.

Naija News reports that Oshiomhole’s clearance was following the house consideration of the report of the committee on Rules business and Government House in a letter from Governor Okpebholo last Wednesday containing the name of the nominee.

The House also approved four hundred eighty-six billion naira as 2024 Revised supplementary budget.

The approval of four hundred and eighty-five billion, six hundred and thirty-four million, eight hundred and Ninety-four thousand, two hundred and forty-eight naira, eighty-seven kobo as total expenditure for the year 2024 is sequel to the request for the passage of the 2024 revised supplementary budget contained in a letter dated 13th November from Edo state governor for the continuous development of the state.

Before Adjournment of plenary to Tuesday, The Speaker, Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, appealed to the Edo State Police commissioner to curb the menace and incessant killings in the state.

The Speaker drew the Police boss’s attention to resolutions passed by the House on the issue.

The appeal became imperative due to a call by the member representing Ikpoba-Okha Constituency, Hon Nicholas Asonsere while moving a motion for adjournment, seconded by the member representing Egor Constituency, Hon Natasha Osawaru.
