JUSTICE Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja has approved the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s request to arraign former Anambra South Senator, Andy Uba, on two counts related to an alleged N400 million fraud.

The court has scheduled February 18, 2025, for the defendant to enter a plea, following allegations that Uba defrauded George Uboh, whose complaint prompted the charges.

Crystal Chidinma Uba and Benjamin Etu are also named as the 2nd and 3rd defendants in the case.

The IGP has accused the defendants, along with a certain Hajiya Fatima, who is currently at large, for conspiring in 2022 to defraud Uboh by falsely claiming they could secure the managing director position at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) for anyone willing to pay N400 million.

This alleged offense violates section 8 and is punishable under section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act of 2006.
