Bauchi APC Elders Slam Rising Hardship, Call for Urgent Action

The Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has voiced deep concerns over Nigeria’s escalating economic crisis, urging the Federal Government to act without delay.

In an interview with journalists on the 2nd of December, 2024, the Circle’s secretary, Isah Marafa, called on the government to tackle the soaring inflation, rising living costs, and the decline in essential sectors such as security, education, and healthcare.

Marafa expressed his dismay over the severe effects of escalating fuel prices, stating that they have infiltrated “every facet of the life of average Nigerians.”

While recognizing the government’s efforts to reverse the economic downturn, Marafa emphasized the urgency for decisive measures that will stabilize the economy and ease the suffering of the citizens.

“Our leaders must address the current economic hardship. Poor Nigerians need immediate relief,” he urged, further imploring Bauchi State leaders to take proactive action in supporting their people.

In his final words, Marafa appealed for divine intervention, urging Nigerians to seek God’s mercy and guidance to turn the nation’s fortunes around.

“Only God can lift us,” he concluded.
