Aero Contractors Introduces Festive Fare Cuts Amid Economic Challenges

In a bid to support travelers this Christmas season, Aero Contractors, Nigeria’s oldest airline, has announced a fare reduction initiative aimed at making air travel more affordable.

The airline’s Managing Director, Ado Sanusi, disclosed that the minimum ticket price across all domestic routes will now be set at N80,000 until January next year.

Sanusi, speaking to journalists on Tuesday, described the move as a reflection of the airline’s commitment to its customers and the spirit of the festive season.

“This initiative, which we’ve named ‘Pocket-Friendly Christmas Prices,’ is designed to ease the financial burden on Nigerians during the holidays and ensure families can travel to reunite with loved ones,” he said.

The announcement comes against the backdrop of challenging economic conditions, with ticket prices for local flights reaching as high as N99,643 for economy class and N189,167 for business class on certain routes prior to the reduction.

Despite lowering fares, Sanusi assured that Aero Contractors has conducted a thorough analysis of the economic landscape and remains confident in its ability to maintain profitability while meeting customer expectations.

The airline currently operates a fleet of three aircraft, which Sanusi stated are sufficient to handle the anticipated surge in holiday travel demand.

The airline’s leadership has also called on other carriers to consider similar measures, emphasizing the need to prioritize customer satisfaction during the festive season.

This latest initiative by Aero Contractors demonstrates a thoughtful approach to addressing economic pressures while fostering connectivity and holiday cheer among Nigerians.
