Nigerian rapper and fashion mogul, Zlatan Ibile, has spoken out against some of his peers who publicly shame individuals for wearing counterfeit designer pieces.
In a powerful statement, he argued that itโs unfair for fashion entrepreneurs to mock those who opt for fakes simply because they canโt afford the originals.
In a viral video, Zlatan passionately said, โPeople wey dey buy fake, make dem dey buy am until dey get money to buy original. Person wey wear fake today, go wear original tomorrow.โ
This comes after fashion entrepreneur Rahman Jago recently criticized veteran singer Oritse Femi for using fake high-fashion items.
Not long ago, Ashluxe founder Olayinka Ashogbon also called out singer Lyta for rocking counterfeit versions of his brandโs designs.
