Nine-time Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Enyimba International FC, have appointed Stanley Eguma as their new head coach, following the sack of former coach, Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju.
Eguma, one of the most respected and seasoned tacticians in Nigerian football, is no stranger to Enyimba, having been part of the coaching staff during the club’s successful CAF Champions League campaigns in the early 2000s.
His return to the club is viewed as a homecoming, with the club’s management hopeful that his vast experience will guide the “People’s Elephant” back to its former glory, both domestically and on the continent.
The 60-year-old is best known for his remarkable tenure with Rivers United, where he led the team to several league titles and earned a reputation for his tactical ingenuity and ability to get the best out of his players.
