Adeleke Signs ₦427bn 2025 Budget, Promises Rigorous Implementation

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on Monday, signed the ₦427 billion 2025 appropriation bill into law, titled the “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation.”

The signing ceremony took place at the Exco Lounge in the Governor’s Office, witnessed by members of his cabinet and representatives of the legislative arm.

The Osun State House of Assembly had earlier increased the budget from ₦390 billion, as initially proposed by the governor, to ₦427 billion.

During the event, Governor Adeleke praised the legislature and his cabinet for their collaboration, stating, “We are here to further demonstrate our readiness to forge ahead in the New Year with the growth and development of our dear state.

“For record purposes, the budget I am signing today is titled ‘Budget of Sustainable Growth and Transformation.’ The total sum for the 2025 budget is ₦427,746,925,170.00.”

He instructed Ministries, Departments, and Agencies to ensure the budget’s effective implementation.

“Our budget performance must continue to be commendable on a quarterly basis,” he added.

Adeleke tasked the Ministry of Economic Planning, Budget, and Development with overseeing the budget’s execution to meet set targets and deliver on citizens’ expectations.

He reassured Osun residents, saying, “The budget will be rigorously implemented to meet all expectations.”
