Segun Arinze Teases Musical Comeback

Veteran Nollywood actor, Segun Arinze, has shed light on the reason why he stepped away from the music scene, clarifying that his departure was a choice, not a defeat.

In a recent episode of โ€˜Curiosity Made Me Ask,โ€™ hosted by content creator Bae U Barbie, Arinze revealed that his shift from music to acting was a deliberate move to channel his energy into his passion for performance on screen.

โ€œI didnโ€™t fail as a musical artist. I left music on my own volition. If I wanted to do music, I would have continued.

โ€œI read theatre art at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. I left school, I did well. I went into my music on my own volition. When I decided to concentrate on my acting career, I concentrated on my acting,โ€ he explained.

The multi-talented entertainer hinted at a future return to music, although he emphasized that his comeback would be driven purely by passion, not profit.

โ€œI can always go back to music. I didnโ€™t fail. Iโ€™ve two albums. I suspended it [my music career]. When I feel itโ€™s time, I will go back. I still sing. The voice is still there.

โ€œI will be going back to music but I wonโ€™t be coming into it for commercial reasons. I will return to music just because I want to sing, not because I want to make money,โ€ he added.

Arinzeโ€™s reflections highlight his enduring connection to music, proving that his artistic journey is far from over.
