NYSC Debunks Claims About Call-Up Numbers, Urges Patience

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has dismissed recent reports circulating on social media, which suggested that Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) who have not received their Call-Up Numbers should visit State Secretariats to obtain them.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Caroline Embu, the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations for NYSC, clarified that these claims were false and did not originate from the official channels of the Scheme.

She urged the public to disregard such misinformation.

Embu emphasized that all official communication regarding Call-Up Numbers and other matters concerning the NYSC is done through individual dashboards and the Schemeโ€™s officially approved social media platforms, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, and Threads.

โ€œThe attention of the Management of the National Youth Service Corps has been drawn to misleading information being circulated by some mischief-makers, claiming that Prospective Corps Members yet to be issued Call-Up Numbers should proceed to the State Secretariats of the Scheme for this purpose,โ€ the statement read.

The NYSC Acting Director reassured all Prospective Corps Members who have not yet received their Call-Up Numbers to remain patient, continue to monitor their dashboards, and check for updates through the NYSCโ€™s official social media channels.

This statement follows the spread of rumors that could cause unnecessary confusion among the affected individuals.

The NYSC continues to advise against seeking assistance from unofficial sources for registration or Call-Up Number-related matters.
