The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, has announced that he successfully underwent eye surgery at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), the commissioner shared updates and expressed his gratitude to the medical team, highlighting the exceptional quality of care he received.
โHuge thanks to the incredible oculoplastic surgeons in the Eye Department, especially Prof. Mrs. Bola Adekoya and Dr. Rosemay Ngwu, for their expertise and for making the procedure painless,โ Abayomi wrote.
He also praised the nursing team, describing their care as exceptional. โA special shoutout to the amazing nursing care led by Apex Nurse Adejoke Okeowoโyou truly made a difference!โ he added.
Abayomi extended his appreciation to Prof. Adebowale O. Adekoya, the Director of Clinical Services and Training at LASUTH, for leading an excellent team. He also commended Prof. Adetokunbo O. Fabamwo, LASUTHโs Chief Medical Director, for his leadership in driving healthcare excellence.
