Loyalists of the notorious bandit leader Bello Turji have reportedly relocated to a new hideout in the Garsa/Kadanya area of Bayanruwa, situated within Maradun Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to intelligence sources made available to Zagazola Makama, the movements were observed between January 19 and 20.
Turji’s followers, many traveling on motorcycles and carrying injured members, were sighted passing through Galadi, Damaga, Rudunu, and Danbenchi en route to their new base.
The Garsa/Kadanya location is reportedly under the control of Jummo Smally, a former rival of Turji, and has previously served as a refuge for bandits.
Security operatives have also noted that some of the fleeing bandits have been moving through Rudunu, Bankamawa, and Farfaru in the Faru District, raising further concerns about their activities in the region.
Local sources revealed that injured bandits are receiving treatment at the new hideout, prompting authorities to issue warnings to health workers in the area against providing medical assistance to them.
The relocation is believed to be a direct result of intensified military operations targeting bandit strongholds in Zamfara State.
The pressure has forced Turji and his loyalists to abandon their previous camps in search of safer territory.
Security forces continue to monitor the situation closely, with efforts underway to ensure that these criminal elements are neutralized and that the affected areas are secured for residents.
