Unilever achieves N149.8bn turnover

Unilever Nigeria Plc has recorded a turnover of N149.8bn. This marks a 44 per cent increase from the N103.9bn achieved in the corresponding period in 2023.

A statement made available to our correspondent on Monday by the company stated that the gross profit stood at N55.7bn, a 75 per cent increase compared to N31.9bn recorded in the same period last year.

Additionally, Unilever Nigeria reported a rise in its net profit, which surged by 88 per cent to N15.9bn, up from N8.4bn in 2023.

The Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria, Tobi Adeniyi, attributed the financial performance to the company’s focus on operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and expanding its market share in key categories.

Adeniyi remarked, “Our year-on-year sustained growth trajectory is a testament to our commitment to serving consumers with our best brands to meet their daily needs of improved health and hygiene.”

The PUNCH reported that Unilever Nigeria Plc had announced a decline in its quarterly profit for the fourth quarter of 2024, reporting a profit of N4.9bn, a 29 per cent drop from N6.87bn recorded in the same period in 2023.
