Police probe A’Ibom make-up artist’s death
The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome death of a make-up artist, Emrich Effanga, who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, confirmed this to our correspondent in Uyo on Monday, stating that the case had been reported to the command.
John said that the Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare, had already ordered an investigation into the incident.
She said, “Information at our disposal indicates that the matter has been reported to us, and an investigation is currently underway. Further developments will be communicated to you.”
When asked for more details, the command spokesperson stated that certain information could not yet be disclosed as the investigation was ongoing.
“There are details we cannot reveal at this stage for investigative purposes. Just take it that we are aware of the incident and that an investigation has already begun,” John said.
